BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Free beginner swimming lessons are being offered at more than a dozen organizations throughout the Bay State, the Healey-Driscoll Administration announced on Thursday. The Department of Conservation and Recreation said 14 organizations are receiving a total of up to $372,000 through the Safe Water Initiative Massachusetts (SWIM) program as a part of an effort to "increase access to swimming lessons and enhance water safety." The beginner lessons are being offered to Massachusetts residents of all ages.
