Soccer Etc in Beverly, Massachusetts

I will never go back again. After playing for years at Soccer Etc. I became number to the frigid temperatures inside and the decaying infrastructure but it's convenience to my home kept me coming back...until now. I had a stunningly bad experience this evening. We paid for the most recent indoor session for my nine year old son and played every game of the session. As my son walked out on the field for the first playoff game the referee yelled at him to get off the field because he claimed he wasn't registered. The part that was so mind boggling was that the outburst by the referee didn't gradually escalate but rather he just came out of the gate yelling...at a nine year old boy. As my son walked off the field in tears. An assistant coach tried to calmly explain the situation to referee and for his effort the coach was summarily kicked out of the game. The assistant coach then went to owner to explain that he had paid and played the entire season, but the owner had a similar reaction as the referee. He became very aggressive immediately and refused to provide any resolution. He simply was looking at an old roster, but rather than trying to help understand or resolve the issue (if only to give us our money back) he simply chose to berate the assistant coach as my son sat in the hallway and cried. I don't know what words to use..cold-hearted, cruel, obtuse. I will never play at Soccer Etc again and neither will my son.
